Its areas of intervention are climate change adaptation, renewable energies, energy efficiency in buildings, sustainable mobility and the circular economy.

FAEN as Regional Energy Agency of the Principality of Asturias, is an entity without lucrative interest and its main objective is to promote and develop activities related to research, technical development and training with interest for the regional energetic industry. Also works as adviser for the Employment, Industry and Tourism Regional Minister on the design of energy strategies.

Regional Energy Agency North was established in 2009 as public, independent and not-for-profit institution within the programme Intelligent Energy Europe. It was established by cities Koprivnica, Varazdin and Virovitica with an aim of providing support, consulting and related services to all participants directly or indirectly involved in energy in North part of Croatia. Regional Energy Agency North deals with renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, rational use of energy and environmental protection.
